The Owl Class
Little Leaf brings its values of love, joy and community to Teatown with one mixed-age class of 3-5 year olds. The class is rooted in Coyote Mentoring practices and the nature-immersion education model, inspired by all that Teatown offers. As with all of our classes, the Owl Class has elements of the Reggio Emilia and Waldorf approaches. Children spend almost all of their time in the great outdoors in all types of weather. This class of 15-18 children enjoy a beautiful Maple Grove forest classroom as their home base.

Teatown Lake Reservation
Teatown's beautiful 1000 acres are the children's living classroom. Located close to the classroom is the Raptor Loop, an exhibit of birds of prey (including a screech owl and bald eagle) that were injured and have been cared for by the naturalists at Teatown. The nearby Three Lakes Loop trail offers endless opportunities for daily child-friendly hikes. The children will visit with Teatown's animal ambassadors and enjoy all the exhibits housed within the vibrant nature center.
